Install XML and RCurl packages

The installation of XML and RCurl packages using install.packages() function does not work.
The following commands at the terminal are effective.

sudo apt-get update sudo apt-get install libxml2-dev
sudo apt-get install r-cran-xml
sudo apt-get install r-cran-rcurl
