Delivering Feedback

  1. Make the content of the feedback helpful.
  2. Give a specific feedback
  3. Frame things positively, as opportunities, not as simple negative evaluations. Do not chastise someone but genuinely trying to help.
  4. Give feedback in a timely manner. The best time to give feedback is as soon as possible, as close in time to the performance being addressed.
  5. Give feedback in an appropriate place (in private and face-to-face).
  6. Carefully consider the quantity of feedback you wish to offer.
